The five-year New Life on the Old West project, delivered by Cambridgeshire ACRE, and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, has worked to deliver wildlife habitat enhancements in green spaces and surrounding countryside within areas close to the Old West River in the Cambridgeshire Fens.
The project has created a series of small and large-scale habitat improvements such as ponds, scrapes, wildflower meadows, reprofiled ditches(Berms) and hedges in the arable landscape and in community green spaces. As the project’s funding reaches its conclusion, the NLOW team, would like to celebrate with the people who made it all happen, the local community groups, wildlife experts, partners – it would be excellent to have you along!
